A leading Yemeni opposition figure has called on the President to resign as anti-government demonstrations gather momentum in the country.
“If [he] will not start implementing his promises — including taking his brothers and sons away from the army and the security forces — I don’t think that he deserves to stay one day,” said Hamid al-Ahmar, the leader of the opposition Islah Party. Read more (£)
